Play DesHCA’s Evidence-Based Serious Game

Group 3Created with Sketch.

Welcome to Our House, a serious game designed to help people with different backgrounds and priorities explore what it means to create homes that support healthy cognitive ageing.

This game uses evidence gathered during the DesHCA project to help you explore different ways of thinking about adaptation and how people’s needs can change over time. Whether you’re a professional in housing, passionate about adaptation, or simply curious, “Our House” offers an opportunity to think creatively (and critically!) about what age-inclusive design really means.

The game can be played in a variety of ways, online (below), in person (contact us for details), using pre-generated homes or building your own. Whichever option you choose, we hope ‘Our House’ gives you the opportunity to think differently about what adaptations might look like for people as they age, and imagine a future where adapting for changing needs becomes just another part of home improvement.
